As usual, I haven't kept up with my blogging outside of January and February's... alas. 2019 was an extremely hectic year for me; travelling, work, health issues, breakup, new pup... so art really took a back seat. Actually, everything in my life took a back seat. I think parking all of the creative stuff and just slaving away at work really wore me down, more than I intended.
Enough about the lows of 2019. Let's get through the highlights!
Japan
By far the biggest highlight of the year! We travelled to Tokyo, Kyoto, Tottori, Karatsu, Hiroshima, Osaka, Nagoya, and Nara! We were totally spoiled with food and when I got back to Canada, I couldn't eat for 2 weeks!
Singapore
I met up with my dad right after Japan in Singapore. It was.... okay. I think all the internet hype sort of got to me because the city-state itself was... okay. We went to the famous Singapore zoo for breakfast with the orangutang, visited the sky trees, went to Cloud Forest, went to the Flower Dome, and a few other things. Its extremely American, so if you're into that sort of thing...
Foals
I didn't even update about the 2 other foals that were born on the farm! Haku and Alex were born mid March and both sold in November. On the left is Alex (Flax) and on the right is Haku (Ellie).
Yata-chan
I got a pup! Meet Yata, a black and tan shiba inu that I picked up on my birthday. He's already 5 months old now and really well behaved for a puppy!
The Jennifer Show
Erica Ferguson and I had been preparing for TJS for 3 years leading up to it! We were so excited to road trip to Colorado (from Toronto, Canada) for the biggest show of our lives!
