30 Hours and Counting

Writer's picture: AndreaAndrea

30 hours separate us from the beginning of NaMoPaiMo. My model is ready but admittedly, I have yet to go out and buy some fresh oil paints. With my model prepped and standing in the start gate, I've been itching to begin. Because my model of choice is so tiny, I have also planned to work on 3 other tiny projects just because.

With just over 500 (FIVE HUNDRED+) signed up for NaMoPaiMo, the pressure is on for sure. It's not a competition, but it really sort of is, as you're competing against yourself. I see artists coming back after years of being on hiatus to shake the dust off of their paintbrushes and it just feels great. The community really does get some colour this time of year and already it feels so vibrant (and we haven't even started yet)!!

Meanwhile, I have been working away on something else... model horse related too. I just cant say what it is yet. But maybe this photo can shed a little light. -->

This is the first informal announcement regarding this for something :D and I'm not telling (partially because I don't know if it will be done in time.) But as I think about it, wouldn't it be great to have a Model Horse Sculpting Month? NaMoScuMo perhaps? Hint hint nudge nudge powers that be.

With 30 hours out from February 1st, I also want to point out that the mares have continued to hold out on us. No babies yet. Millie's due date was Sunday. Kiss is now 17 days overdue.
