Prepping Party - Day 3

Our two [wo]man prepping party drew to a close today. Our goal for the weekend was to prep our micro mini's for NaMoPaiMo and we succeeded! Erica and I finished prepping our 4 micros with time to spare! However, that wasn't all we did today.

I get pretty lazy when it comes to riding (the last time I was on a horse was Canadian Thanksgiving weekend in Iceland), yet I have 3 horses in the field ready to ride. Whenever Erica comes over, she gets my butt into gear and forcefully encourages us to ride. It was decently warm today but our sand ring and round pen are ice. The roads are a little questionable too... and the

fields are off limits. My faithful steed of 8 years, Iero, was dragged into our mischief with the promise of carrots at the end. Iero hasn't been ridden since September 4th... so what we did was hop on bareback and bridleless. We trotted around the driveway and cantered too. We finished him off with a tandem hack and Iero was less than impressed (but he's a cool guy and tolerated our shenanigans.

It was time to pack up and head out to deliver Erica 45 minutes back to her residence, but not before we stopped off for sushi! Okay, okay, our katsu don (pork cutlet bowl) plan's were foiled slightly by our laziness but I plan on making it during the week instead.

Now that we have 2 micros each prepped and primed, we are both OFFICIALLY ready for February! What's even better is that I have 2 mini medallions to work on as well! Be sure that there will also be a painting party segment to this blog as well once NaMoPaiMo is officially in action.

OH YEAH, and our party was mentioned in the amazing Braymere blog! I haven't been this excited since I met American Pharoah last May! You can read Jennifer Buxton's post about the NaMoPaiMo prepping parties here: https://braymere.blogspot.ca/2018/01/namopaimo-prepping-parties.html

Also, no foals.
