The Highs of 2018 - A.A. Azula's Arch

I don't think I have ever mentioned Azula on this blog. If you follow the farm page, you

already know what a very very very special filly she is!

In 2017, we bought Azula as an unnamed 2 year old in the last speed sale of the year. We were the only ones to look at her, the only ones to vet and scope her, and the only ones who wanted to put a bid in. Her owners pulled her from the auction and we had to track them down to buy her privately.

What a bargain.

This little itty bitty filly that no one wanted turned into a Grade 3 placed racehorse and then later on a Grade 3 winner at Woodbine Racetrack. We could hardly believe it! Not only is she a decent little racehorse, she's actually very loving with an amazing personality. It doesn't matter who you are, you can walk into her stall and give her the biggest hug - she loves it!

Azula is now in Florida gearing up for the biggest race of her life - The La Prevoyante Stakes G3 at Gulfstream park. Did I mention that thats on Pegusus World Cup day? We will be flying down to Florida to see her and of course, I'll blog about it at the end of January!
